Ms. Emily Spofford
Hi Farnsworth Students and Families!
This is my fourth year at Farnsworth and I absolutely love being a part of this strong community! This year, my time will be split between Farnsworth and Groveland Park elementary school. I will be at Farnsworth on Monday, Thursdays, and every other Friday and will primarily be working with 2nd and 3rd grade students.
I graduated from University of Minnesota - Morris with a bachelor's degree in psychology and human services and received my master's degree in education - counseling from University of Wisconsin - River Falls. I am passionate about mental health and helping students with their academic, social/emotional, and career development needs. As a school counselor, I aspire to make a holistic difference by building positive relationships, fostering opportunities for growth, and meeting all students where they are at. In my spare time I love to travel, play and sing music, and spend time outdoors.
I am excited for another school year! Please reach out if you have any questions :)
