Greetings Farnsworth Aerospace PreK-4 Families!

My name is Amanda Erickson and I am excited to partner with students and families.

Education and Teaching

I started teaching in 2007 and I joined Saint Paul Public Schools in 2012. I have experience teaching Kindergarten, First, Second and Inquiry Specialists (K-3 Social Studies and Science).  I have been teaching Visual Arts since 2023. I received my teaching degree and Masters from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.

Home Life

My husband and I have two sons, Emmett and Eli.  As a family we love to be outside, ride bikes, swim, listen to music, read books and check for veggies growing in our garden. We have two cats, Habanero and Fresno.  We also have a puppy, Gordy.

Hopes and Dreams

The relationship between family and school is so important in a child’s education and success.  I want to reach students wholly by supporting them socially and emotionally.  I want students to have fun with learning art, navigate and succeed in new challenges and build community in my classroom.  I appreciate any feedback and communication from parents or guardians about how we can provide the best school experience for everyone.  Together we can make a difference.
